The dual-color touchscreen display is a standout feature, allowing users to effortlessly switch between the front and rear screens. The rear touchscreen measures 2.7 inches, providing a vibrant and responsive interface for navigating settings and reviewing footage. The front display, which is 1.4 inches, is perfect for vlogging and selfies, ensuring users can frame their shots perfectly.
The camera is also waterproof up to 16 meters (52 feet) without a case, which means it can handle underwater adventures right out of the box. For those looking to take their filming deeper, an optional diving case is available for even more underwater capabilities.
Camera Performance
Equipped with a 1/1.7-inch sensor, the Osmo Action 5 Pro delivers stunning 4K video quality at up to 120fps. The camera also supports HDR video recording, allowing users to capture vibrant colors and impressive details in high-contrast scenes. The stabilization technology, known as RockSteady 3.0, ensures smooth and stable footage, even during the most intense activities. This feature is particularly useful for action sports like mountain biking, skiing, and surfing, where camera shake can be a significant concern.
In terms of photography, the Osmo Action 5 Pro excels with its 12MP still image capability. The camera also includes a burst mode for capturing fast-moving subjects and a time-lapse feature for creating dynamic footage. The low-light performance is commendable, allowing users to shoot in challenging lighting conditions without sacrificing image quality.

The camera offers various shooting modes, including time-lapse, slow-motion, and interval shooting, catering to diverse creative needs. The intuitive menu layout allows users to quickly access these modes, reducing the time spent fiddling with settings.
The battery life is impressive, providing up to 160 minutes of recording time on a single charge. For those longer adventures, users can easily swap out batteries, ensuring they won’t miss any action. The camera is also equipped with USB-C charging, allowing for quick and convenient power-ups on the go.
Connectivity and Editing
The Osmo Action 5 Pro features built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, enabling users to connect their smartphones for easy sharing and editing. The DJI Mimo app provides a seamless experience for transferring footage, adjusting settings remotely, and editing videos on the fly. The app offers various templates and effects, making it easy to create polished videos ready for sharing on social media platforms.
